Position Description:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs those duties relating to the storage and retrieval of system supplies and equipment and duties involved with the general quality control of customer set-top equipment, such as examining, detecting malfunctions, and documenting.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Hours to include working 5 days a week including Saturdays.
• Maintains all inventory in a secure and orderly manner with appropriate controls as outlined in the Company’s inventory control guidelines.
• Distributes supplies and equipment from storage, upon authorized request, and returns them to proper place after use.
• Performs shipping and receiving function, including lifting and carrying loads up to 70lbs.
• Maintains a card file for converter control purposes.
• Timely re-ordering of inventory and necessities. Verifies accuracy of requisitions and orders by comparing nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, and similar references.
• Initializes, tests, and documents repairs necessary to customer equipment including converters, modems, remote controls, and other types of equipment, as the future requires.
• Performs cosmetic work on the equipment listed above which includes cleaning, replacing appropriate labels and decals.
• Maintains the testing equipment used in the Equipment Control Area including CATV in-house wiring, connector replacement, jumper cord assembly, using hand tools, and verification of signal through routine observation of monitoring equipment.
• Prepares equipment for shipment to repair facility for modification and repairs.
• Through cross training by the supervisor, gains the necessary skills to prepare, insure, and check-in equipment to and from field personnel and/or supplier/repair facilities.
• Understands and strictly adheres to all established and proposed safety and security standards and procedures.
• May be required to drive either a commercial or non-commercial large truck for the purpose of making transfers between warehouses.

Position Requirements:
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school training in electronics preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to use hand tools, and able to operate all tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Microsoft Windows and computerized inventory control software and system skills helpful.
• Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish duties without close supervision.
• Valid driver’s license; satisfactory driving record.
